• Inside them, I found beautiful 1930’s-style felt hats, completely hand stitched and sewn into unique shapes.

I loved the craftsmanship put into those hats, and was inspired to enter professional millinery training at FIT in NYC to better understand how these fabulous creations were made.

During the pandemic in 2020, I was living in Wyoming and was so inspired by the environment and the cowboy culture. That’s where my millinery business was born - in a small cabin right near where the photo on the left was taken.

I was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel.  Throughout my life I lived in many places (NYC, Wyoming, Holland, Germany and Switzerland). I’m a gypsy at heart, and I am currently creating out of my studio in Westchester County, an hour north of NYC.

My travels are a major source of inspiration for my millinery work, and I am always collecting unique materials for my hats from each place I visit. I explore both new and traditional materials in my designs.

I believe in slow fashion, handmade, and craftsmanship. Each of my hats expresses these values. Today, I make individual custom-made hats using traditional millinery techniques.

I source the most high quality materials and I stitch one hat at a time, putting attention into every detail.

I create my hats with classic and traditional shapes, adding a modern twist. Fedoras, trilby hats, cloches and porkpies out of fur felt, wool felt and straw.

What type of hat is your favorite?

  • “I discovered Nami's beautiful hats at the Lyndhurst Castle spring fair. I was drawn in to the beauty of the designs and that they were handmade by Nami herself. I own a woman's clothing boutique in Westchester NY and I am always on the hunt to discover new local designers. I knew I had to carry a few of Nami's designs in my boutique. As a fashion designer myself, I know how much work and the creative process it takes to bring a creation to life. Nami is a talented accessories designer and I look forward to seeing what she creates next.”
